Fencing Contracts Estimator

Tony Weir Contractor Ltd is a well-established fencing company based in Elgin, delivering high-quality fencing solutions for domestic, commercial, and agricultural clients throughout Scotland. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for Fencing Contracts Estimator to join our team.
​
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fencing materials and construction, excellent numerical skills, and experience preparing competitive and accurate quotations.
What You'll Do

Seek out new tender opportunities.

Review tender documents and specifications for fencing projects.

Liaise with Clients on tender queries.

Conduct site visits to assess scope of work, take measurements, and identify any risks or complexities.

Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labour, plant and any subcontractor costs.

Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and up to date material costs.

Submit timely and accurate tender documents and proposals to clients.

Work closely with operations and fencing team to ensure alignment of estimations with project delivery.

Track and manage tenders submitted and follow up with clients to secure work.

Maintain an accurate and up to date pricing database.
What We're Looking For
-
Proven experience in fencing, construction estimating, or a similar field.

Strong knowledge of fencing systems and installation practices.

Proficient in Excel and general MS Office tools.

Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and negotiation skills.

Valid UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
-
Background in commercial or agricultural fencing.
-
Experienced in contract negotiation / bid writing
-
Knowledge of CDM and Health & Safety regulations relevant to construction.
