

Fencing Operatives - Full-Time | Permanent
Location: Elgin-based, with work across Scotland

Tony Weir Contractor Ltd is a well-established fencing company based in Elgin, delivering high-quality fencing solutions for domestic, commercial, and agricultural clients throughout Scotland. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for Fencing Operatives to join our skilled and hard-working teams.
What You'll Do
As a Fencing Operative, you’ll be a key part of our on-site crew, involved in a wide range of fencing projects.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Installing new fences and gates to job specifications

Repairing and maintaining existing fencing

Measuring and marking fence lines according to site plans
-
Hand chapping fence posts when needed
-
Fitting gates, hinges, latches, and other hardware

Operating machinery and tools relevant to the job

Physical stamina and a willingness to work outdoors in all weather

Confidence using hand and power tools safely

Great attention to detail

Previous experience in fencing, landscaping, construction, or joinery (preferred)

A good understanding of health & safety on site
Desirable Certifications

Valid CSCS card (preferred)

Tickets for plant and machinery (e.g., excavator, tractor, chainsaw) are a bonus

Full UK Driving Licence (required)

Hours: 40–60 hours per week
